Smart WiFi Analyzer ("the App") values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

The App may access or collect the following information:

1.1 Information Accessed Through Device Permissions

Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION): Required by Android to return Wi-Fi scan results. The App does not collect, store, or transmit your physical location.
Nearby Wi-Fi devices (NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES, Android 13+): Used to detect nearby access points without using location.
Wi-Fi and network state: Used to read connection state and scan information for display in the App.
Internet: Used for the speed test feature, version checks, ads, analytics, and crash diagnostics.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

For app improvement and service delivery, the following information may be automatically collected through third-party services:

Device information (model, OS version, device identifiers)
App usage statistics (screen views, feature usage frequency)
App crash and error information
Advertising identifier (Advertising ID)
Approximate location (IP address-based)

2. How We Use Information

The collected information is used for:

Displaying nearby Wi-Fi networks and their characteristics
Recommending less congested channels for your network
Measuring connection speed (ping, download, upload)
Checking for app updates
Improving app stability and fixing errors
Analyzing user experience and improving services
Delivering personalized advertisements

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services. Each service collects and processes information according to its own privacy policy:

Google Firebase Analytics

Used for app usage statistics and user behavior analysis. Events used by the App do not include Wi-Fi SSIDs, BSSIDs, passwords, or location values.

Used to collect crash information (stack traces, app version, device model, OS version) to improve app stability.

Used to serve in-app advertisements. Advertising ID and usage data may be collected for personalized ads.

Google DNS & Cloudflare Speed Test

External endpoints used only when you run a speed test (dns.google for ping, speed.cloudflare.com for download/upload). These providers may receive standard network metadata such as your IP address.

4. Data Storage

Speed test history (up to 100 recent records) and app preferences (auto-scan, language, onboarding state) are stored only on your device. Wi-Fi scan results, including SSIDs and BSSIDs, are used for in-app display only and are not stored or sent to our servers. Analytics, advertising, and crash data collected through third-party services are stored on their respective servers.

5. Advertising and Tracking Preferences

You can limit personalized advertising through the following methods:

Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization"
Reset Advertising ID: Settings → Google → Ads → "Reset advertising ID"

6. Your Rights

You can at any time:

Revoke permissions in device settings
Clear speed test history within the App
Delete all on-device data by uninstalling the App or clearing app data in Android settings
Opt out of personalized advertising

7. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated due to legal requirements or service changes. Significant changes will be announced within the app.
